The big "Green My Ride" schedule has been finalized and everyone is invited to come on out and explore alternative transportation methodologies. Things get rolling at 9:15 a.m. and run non-stop till late afternoon, so give yourself plenty of time to take everything in.

Music, including a singalong with Ecovillager Gary Paine and a "Klezmer Jam" in the community hall, and the film "How Cuba Survived Peak Oil," an incisive look at how a nation drew together on alternative energy, will headline the day's media. There also will be on display bikes, cars and other transit alternatives.

Discussion topics include "Climate Dialogues" with Phil Mitchell of 2People, "Sustainable Transportation" with Seattle Department of Transportation's David Allen, "Neighborhood Design," "Street Landscaping" and "Transportation 101."

Ecovillage founder Cecile Andrews will speak on "Simplicity" at 2 p.m. in the Community Hall, followed by the "State of our Neighborhood" forum at 2:30 p.m. where we'll talk about hopes and challenges for a livable future on the Ridge.
